It's been 8 years that I've been married to my best friend and soul mate and I can't believe that it's been that long. I think the only way I can believe that it's that long is that Emma is going to be 7 (don't ge me going on that) and we better have been married 8 years. =)
We were looking at a bunch of 'old' pictures of the girls as babies and us as newly weds and even though there were alot of tough times financially we were always happy. There have never been any problems with 'us'. The smart-ass in me says that's becasue I never get to win a fight and I just give in. But really I know it's because we both love eachother so much that we are always looking out for each other and trying to find the best solution for the other person. I don't know how many times we'll be arguing about something and we both give in at the same time.
Anyway, all that rambling is to say that this is only the beginning and I can't wait to see what God has for us in the future. Lana, you are my girl, and you always will be. Thanks for a fabulous 8 years.
Love ya...
XXXPUNCH.
PS.....Lana and I were kissing this morning in the backentry and Emma came in and said.....EWWWWWW!!! It's already began. =)

Emma Goes to the Dentist
I went to the dentist because I had a cavity. When we got there we had to wait and I read a joke book. Then the nurse came and got me, I was still allowed to have my book. She took me to one of the rooms and I sat in a big dentist chair. The dentist looked in my mouth and froze my mouth. It felt weird and it felt like my mouth was fat. It was good because it didn't hurt. And then the dentist gave me a filling in one of my top teeth. And then at the end I got a sticker and some gum.
Next time they're is going to be more freezing because the dentist is going to fill a much bigger cavity. But I'm not scared, well maybe a little.

I WANT MORE!
This morning we were all sitting around the breakfast table eating eggs and toast one of Elizabeth's favorite meals. However, Elizabeth still found a way to whine about that meal. She said I hadn't put enough jam on her toast and was crying and crying that she didn't have enough jam. I commented to Lana that she found a way to complain about one of her favorite meals. We kinda chuckled, then Lana said something very profound. "I bet that's how God feels with us, he gives us things and all we can do is complain about how it isn't what we wanted. He must get as frusterated with us as we do with Liz," she said.
So true.
PS.....for those that read yesterday I added to the post about the dead fish, you may want to re-read it.

Death of a Pet

I went to clean Goldie's bowl and put him into a smaller container to wait, something we did all the time. He started to freak out, swimming everywhere then, flowted to the top, I suspect he had a heart attack, or something to that nature. He had lived much longer then expected, I read somewhere that gold fish have a life expectancy of 6 months. We had that goldfish from August 2005 so he lived 18 months, he was a very old fish. Not to mention that we never added water purifiers to his water, often we would leave for the weekend and only give him a bunch of food right off the bat and let him fend for himself the rest of the time and he would still be swimming around when we got hom. He was a tough fish.
Anyway, this morning I told the girls and Emma and Elizabeth both took it hard. They were crying and needed to be comforted. Above is a picture that Emma drew on Monday to show her grief over her fish dying. She and Goldie were very close, as close as someone can get to a fish. She fed him and talked about him like he was part of the family. She took it hardest when he died on Sunday. I was very touched when I found this picture laying on the floor monday night when I was cleaning up. Emma has a way of being able to deal with her emotions by drawing them out. Sometimes good, sometimes bad. I guess she gets that from her Mom, anyway, I was very proud of her for drawing such a great picture, I hope you appreciate it as well.
I guess I need to go spend a couple bucks for a couple more fish. =)
